A little me about me... I'm 31, stay at home mom to John Alden (6), and Sumner (17mo), and wife of almost 10 years to John! We live in Oxford. I'm so excited to start my 4th round of the 21 day fix in May.
As many of you know I have recently teamed with Beach Body and am now a coach/motivator for the 21 Day Fix program. I wanted to take the time and explain why I chose to take the next step in my diet and lifestyle after completing only 2 successful rounds of the program. SO here is my “why”... I have struggled with my weight since the 7th grade. I started the Atkins diet the spring of that year and have been on some sort of crazy eating diet plan since. I consider myself a very experienced dieter!!!( haha!) But for me the challenge is REAL. I wake up every single morning thinking about dieting, the food I will eat and how I will work out… Right before I got pregnant with John Alden I was probably the smallest I had ever been and felt great about myself. Then BAM … a 80+lb weight gain. (which was worth every pound) After having John Alden I became extremely insecure about my appearance. I started strolling and going to the gym, and I finally got the weight off. Then BAM … pregnant with Sumner … another 80+ lbs ( and worth every pound) This time the weight was not as easy to get off. After working out and doing Weight watchers I was able to get the majority of my weight off, but I still wasn’t seeing the results I wanted. I was working out SO hard, but my eating was just so off. Getting to the gym with Sumner was just extremely difficult. One night I was talking with my friend Angela (who is my coach now), and she was telling me about the 21 day fix. I thought I can so do that. Several months went by and Angela posted on FB. I decided to take the plunge. The best decision I have ever made. Workouts were easy in that I could pop it in the DVD, and I am done in 30min. The challenge for me was the kitchen. I LOVE to cook, and I love to cook yummy things. With this plan I have been challenged to turn my yummy food that I enjoy cooking into healthy yummy food. And who doesn’t like a good challenge. So why did I want to become a BB coach. I’m real. The struggle is real. This program/ challenge has really helped me, and I have learned so much. I hope that I will be able to share my story and push and challenge others to take the plunge to join me in becoming healthy and fit. This plan has helped me totally change the way I look at food, and my goal is to help others do the same!
I’m so excited about the opportunity to change someone’s life!
